I'm an aunt again! | Cleveland, Ohio Newborn Hospital Photographer

Woohoo! I am an aunt again!!  This little nugget was less than day old for these photos.  Whenever I see a newborn it always blows my mind that just a short time ago they were inside someone's belly - even though I've done it twice myself it never ceases to amaze me.  She is SO cute and I am so excited to watch her grow up. My kids and I keep playing a game where we wonder what she will like and what she won't.  It's so fun to imagine all the possibilities and imagine her running around with her big brother and cousins one day.  We are so happy to have her in our family <3

Here is an adorable video clip of her yawning! (no sound because of the conversation SOME people were having - haha)

This day was SOOOO dreary. I took a little video on the way to the hospital showing what I was up against.  This is why she stayed near the window the entire time and my ISO was 6400!  In more exciting news, I videotaped myself shooting these photos and editing them for my ClickinMoms breakout coming out just after Christmas!

The Candle Family | Cleveland, Ohio Family Film Photographer

A few weeks ago I took some photos of my friend, and fellow photographer, Sara (from Studio SPC) and her family.  I had been toying with the idea of shooting film at a family session but when I tried to plan out when I would shoot film and when I would shoot digital I would get stuck.  So I figured why not just dive in and try all film.  Lucky for me Sara was all for it and I am so grateful to her for letting her family be my first guinea pigs.  It felt so weird not taking 500+ photos at a family session - I took 68 frames total this day.  I learned SO much from this session and most importantly it gave me a boost of confidence that I CAN do this.  I definitely made some mistakes but overall I am so happy with these photos.

At Home with the Joyce Family | Cleveland, Ohio Family Lifestyle Photographer

The last time I saw these guys was when the youngest was a newborn - looking back that session it's awesome to see how much these kiddos have grown in a year and a half.  I LOVE LOVE LOVE photographing this family - so when grandma contacted me last December to purchase a gift certificate for a session as their christmas gift from her I was SO excited. Laid back, go-with-the-flow, hanging out at home sessions are my favorite!
